We would like to wish our sweet Preschool director/4 year old preschool teacher Vicki Bishop a happy birthday today! We hope those Little Pirates make sure you feel loved today!

The freshman volleyball team dropped its first match of the season to a tough Cros Lex team last night, but came back to pull off a big win against Yale!

The Middle School Football game at 6PM will be played against Cass City, instead of Bad Axe.
Mark your calendars, seniors and families! Questions? Contact Mrs. Talaski at ltalaski@hbpirates.org.

Middle school volleyball traveled to Bad Axe last night, and the 7th grade team picked up another win to remain undefeated on the season!

🔬💧 Our physical science students put surface tension to the test! Using pennies, water, and  soap, they discovered how soap breaks water’s surface tension and changes the number of milliliters a penny can hold.

Mrs. Thom's 3-year-old preschool class had a special guest reader visit them from the middle school this morning!

It was a busy weekend for our Pirate athletes! Our CC teams saw several runners medal and PR, our varsity football team brought home another win, and our JV volleyball team competed in their home tournament! Results from that were not available, but check out some of the fantastic shots our yearbook staff captured! The PASS Program (Promoting Academic and Social Success) pairs incoming 9th graders with senior mentors. Together, students focus on goal setting, study habits, and social skills, such as teamwork and decision-making. Freshmen will meet weekly with their mentor to practice these skills and successfully transition to high school. For their first week, everyone got to know each other with an icebreaker activity and worked on setting goals for the year!

Mrs. Bishop's 4-year-old preschool had a guest reader yesterday! She read the book Pug the Winner, and we loved it! We would like to thank her for doing such an amazing job reading the book; we especially liked the voices that she gave the characters as they talked to each other in the story.

What a night for our Varsity and Freshman volleyball teams! Varsity dug themselves an 0-2 hole against Sandusky but stormed back to take the final 3 sets for the win while our Freshman team remained UNDEFEATED on the season!

Happy IT Professionals Day (yesterday, oops!), Mr. Roggenbuck and Mr. Tenbusch! Thank you for all that you do to maintain a technology-rich environment at HBCS for our students.
