It might be a bit hard to see, but several of our high school students had a blast last night watching the Draconid Meteor Shower. They also got to observe the Moon and see Saturn's rings as well!

Not Chef Boyardee, Chef HB! Ms. McIntyre's Creative Studies class made homemade pizza! First making homemade pizza sauce, using the tomatoes donated by the Port Hope Amvets. Then the students made homemade pizza dough from scratch. The results were amazing!

Tomorrow is Homecoming! Check out all of the festive events taking place and be sure to deck out in your orange and black!

Our cross-country teams traveled to Ubly last night and brought home plenty of hardware! Nearly every athlete set a personal record, and Brody Karg continued his dominance by setting a new course record!

Yesterday, staff members were treated to their first Chat with Chilly of 25/26! They enjoyed taco salad, chicken Caesar salad, pasta salad, spinach-berry salad, and fruit salad, along with cookies, of course, for lunch on Wacky Wednesday of Homecoming week! Mr. & Mrs. Chilman are great chefs! Chat with Chilly sessions are a great time for the Pirate staff family to gather in the District Office for a few minutes over lunch. Sharing stories and laughs is the highlight of Chat with Chilly, along with the creative, festive, and delicous menu!

Attention Middle School parents! Our lost and found table is filling up. If you recognize any of these items, please remind your student to grab it to bring home. ☺️

Another game, another WIN for the freshman volleyball team!

More from the Ned show! DK - 6th grade got to enjoy The Ned Show - Resiliency Ride yesterday. This assembly brings a positive message to students about being resilient, using yo-yo tricks, and an engaging story. Students also learned Ned's message that can be used every day, which is to Never give up, Encourage others, and Do your best! Thank you to the Pirate Crew PTO for bringing the assembly to our school.

8th grade scientists are hard at work this week putting product claims to the test! From fishing line to water bottles, dish soap to paper towels, we are quickly learning that the more expensive brands aren't always the most effective ones! 🎣🧻🧊🍽️

Mrs. Bishop's 4-year-old preschool enjoyed sampling 3 types of apples and choosing their favorite. We tried red, green, and yellow apples, and then created a graph to show how many students liked each type of apple.

🚒 Look who visited our classroom today! 🔥
The firefighters came to Mrs. Bishop’s class! They taught us how to stop, drop, and roll and showed us what their gear looks like when they get ready to fight fires. Then we went outside and got to climb inside the big fire trucks! 🚒👩🚒
We even got our very own fire hats to take home! Thank you to our awesome firefighters for teaching us about fire safety and keeping us safe every day! ❤️👨🚒👩🚒
