Our freshman & JV volleyball teams wrapped up their seasons last night at Ubly, while the varsity team completed the regular season portion of their schedule. The freshman team finished the year with a 24-2-4 record, including last night's victory. JV's final record was not available, but we want to congratulate them on a fine season as well.

Varsity opens postseason play in the first round of districts at Lakers against Bad Axe at 6:00 pm. Tickets must be purchased at https://gofan.co/event/5193419?schoolId=MI4438. No passes will be accepted. Good luck, ladies!

Autumn is a season of transition. When we pause to reflect on how this season is mirrored in our own lives, like nothing else, autumn teaches about impermanence. Change is inevitable. Learning to see and be curious about change in our lives helps us gain insight into our thoughts, feelings, and actions so that we can choose to move through transitions and adopt to change more consciously.

The Minden City Haunted Hall trip for middle school students was a spooky success! All of our students made it through this year — and they even got Ms. Taylor to brave it all the way to the end! With 42 participants, it was a frightfully fun night. Huge thanks to our amazing parent volunteers for helping make this middle school outing such a great experience for everyone! 🕸️🕷️

Our final two Pirate Gold Award winners from last month haven been elusive but we were finally able to snag their picture and we wanted to make sure they were recognized as they have each been integral parts of the behind the scenes work at HBCS since joining our team recently! Congratulations to Kendra Messing, LEA Business Manager, and Larissa Anton, LEA Accountant, who were recognized by Heather Andrzejewski.
