It's game day, Harbor Beach!

Today Nov 8th at 9:00 am Harbor Beach Community Schools had a scheduled Lockdown Drill. We wanted to share this with our parents and stakeholders so you are informed. After the drill was complete our teachers shared a PowerPoint with the 3rd-12th grade students while our prek-2 students got a grade level ALICE book read to them by their teachers, on our ALICE emergency protocols. We use the ALICE acronym for any emergency situation we might encounter here at the school. This includes but is not limited to a number of medical emergencies, as well as a fire, a tornado and/or an active shooter emergency. This Acronym states for A=Alert, L=Lockdown to slowdown, I=Information, C=Counter, E= Evacuate. Our teachers have been trained in the ALICE protocols and have received refresher training and will receive ongoing training in these ALICE protocols. Safety and Security of our students and staff will continue to be priority number one. Thank You for your time.
The middle school girl's basketball teams traveled to Brown City last night and each picked up wins!

Congratulations to our middle school students of the month for October! These students display the Capturing Kids Hearts character trait of self-direct: the ability and learned skill to cast a vision of future goals and then take intentional steps toward who, where, and what they want to be. Way to shine, middle schoolers!

It is almost time to pick up your pizza kits, middle school families!
