Over the summer from June 8 to August 23, band students were presented with a practice challenge. They had to complete the challenge and submit proof to Ms. DeDona in order to be marked as completed. We are proud to share the winners from this challenge!

The Harbor Beach Community Schools’ Food Pantry has purchased frozen chickens from the Harbor Beach Community Schools’ FFA; together, the two groups are partnering to offer the alternative of a Chicken Dinner for Thanksgiving!
The Chicken Dinner includes;
• a 5# frozen chicken (with a recipe and “pan” for roasting it)
• a box of stuffing mix
• a can of vegetables
• a box of instant/fresh potatoes
There are 20 dinners available to HBCS-enrolled students.
One dinner per household.
First come. First served.

Our 3rd and 4th grade math students had a sweet day of learning last week! They solved “number story pies” in class and then enjoyed a treat — pumpkin pie in a cup! Hands-on math + a tasty reward = a perfect fall lesson.
