Dear Parents/Guardians,
We would like to unlock the family portal in Xello for the 2022-2023 school year. This allows families to see progress in their child's account as well as valuable information about their child's career interests and 4-year plan (part of the EDP requirement for MI Career Development Model). However, in order to make this happen, we need to make sure you have a valid email address set up in Skyward (this will be used in the account creation process). You can update your email via the My Account button in Skyward. You can contact our Director of Technology, David Roggenbuck, at droggenbuck@hbpirates.org if you need assistance getting into your account. Free, gently used clothing for children in the Harbor Beach School District.
Please come to the north door by the two large garage doors. Contact Bob Wruble: (989) 553-4570 for a separate appointment or if you have questions. ![]() Come meet your teachers, find your classrooms, and see your friends at the Harbor Beach Community Schools Open House. Mark your calendars if you haven't already: our Open House is scheduled for Tuesday, August 24th from 5:30-7:00pm. Additionally, we will have assistance available for anyone seeking to register online. We've had a small number of questions submitted to our District Flip Grid question and answer opportunity, which was first posted on July 21. We don't check this each day, and may close it soon, so we wanted to make sure to share some topics with you.
Here are the answers to a few items that came up: (1) How to gather, class lists and locker information for those not able to attend the Open House~ The easiest way to get class schedules/list if you can't attend Open House is by contacting the office 479-3261. Secretaries are back on regular hours now. They are normally able to answer phones between 8:00 am and 3:30 pm M-F. Elementary lists will likely go out next week with classroom supply list and welcome letters. (2) Will students be wearing masks in the fall ~ we've not made an official announcement at this time, however currently mask-wearing is not "required" for students by either the state or county. Therefore, as things stand today, HBCS will not be requiring masks for students during the school day. We've learned that things related to COVID change quickly, so we'll keep thinking positive and hope things stay this way as we approach the first day of school. " |
